Chimney Fire Prompts Emergency Response At High School In Westchester Firefighters raced to a high school in Northern Westchester after receiving reports of a chimney fire. The incident happened on Monday morning, April 8, when crews from the Millwood Fire Department responded to a reported chimney fire at Fox Lane High School in Bedford.  According to the department, arriving crews soon discovered that the affected chimney was clogged and quickly worked to unclog it and return the situation to safety.  No injuries were reported.

Duo Nabbed After Fight At Westchester Intersection During Partial Eclipse, Police Say Two men were apprehended following a fight at a Westchester intersection that happened during the partial solar eclipse, police said. The incident happened on Monday, April 8 around 2:45 p.m., when a dispute began between two men in the area of Lincoln Avenue and Fifth Avenue in Pelham, according to the village's police department. Officers soon arrived at the scene and ended the fight before apprehending the two suspects, whose names were not released.  The incident is now under investigation. Police said there is no current threat to the public in connection with the dispute.
