Coast Guard Searching For Man After Raft Tips On Long Island Sound

One man was rescued but a second was still missing after an inflatable raft tipped over Sunday afternoon on Long Island Sound near Seaside Park, according to the Connecticut Post.

Members of U.S.Coast Guard Station New Haven are searching with the Bridgeport Police Department, Fairfield Police Department, Suffolk County Police Department, Stratford Fire Department and U.S. Coast Guard Air Station Cape Cod in the vicinity of Bridgeport, Connecticut were continuing to search for the second man Sunday evening after the 5 p.m. accident, according to a Facebook post from the New Haven Coast Guard Station. 

In the Facebook post, the New Haven Coast Guard Station said the missing man was 33 years old and wearing dark clothing and no life jacket.

Anyone with information is urged to contact the Official Coast Guard Sector Long Island Sound Command Center at 203-468-4401.

No information was available on the man pulled from the water, the Post said.
