Fire crews from Westchester and Rockland were dispatched to the Pinoeer Boat Club in Hastings at approximately 7 p.m. on Sunday night, when the building went up in flames, sending heavy smoke billowing into the air.
Fire crews from multiple agencies were dispatched to help contain the blaze, including multiple marine units, which were brought in to assist in knocking down the flames. One firefighter reportedly suffered a minor injury battling the blaze.
It took several hours to extinguish, but the flames were knocked down before 10:30 p.m., prompting a lengthy cleanup in the area to prevent damage to the river.
