Larchmont Police, Firefighters Respond After Car Crashes Into Building

LARCHMONT, N.Y., -- A car crashed into a building on Palmer Avenue on Wednesday, prompting a response by local volunteer firefighters, according to Village of Larchmont police.

Firefighters found a car smoking from its hood. The driver was not trapped and did not request medical treatment at the accident scene, police said. 

No one else was hurt when the car inexplicably crashed at 1833 Palmer Ave., police said.

The 4:30 p.m. emergency call caused traffic delays as firefighters made sure the car did not spill gas or become engulfed in flames before it could be towed away.
