MAMARONECK, N.Y. A Mamaroneck Village man was charged Tuesday night with exposure for urinating in public and issued a village code summons for being in a park after hours, according to police reports.
An officer on routine patrol noticed the man urinating in Columbus Park around 11:30 p.m. and took him into custody. He was released on his own recognizance and is due in court on Aug. 16.
Also in this week's police blotter:
- A 20-year-old village woman was also issued a village code summons at 11 p.m., Tuesday in Columbus Park for being in the park after hours. This incident and the one above are not related, according to police reports.
- Police responded to a complaint of an owl blocking a residents front door on Nelson Street around 9:30 p.m., Tuesday. Once police arrived they identified the bird as a hawk and called an animal wildlife rescue to come collect the animal.
- On Monday afternoon, two out-of-town men were issued village code summons for peddling and soliciting in the area of First Street. Village police identified one 29-year-old man from Mastic, N.Y. and took a 19-year-old man from Chicago, Ill. to the police station to verify his identity.
- A woman called police at 8:30 p.m. Monday to report that her iPhone was stolen from her vehicle while it was parked on Halstead Avenue.
