Mamaroneck Police: Beer Theft And DWI Charge

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Village of Mamaroneck police charged three suspects in two separate incidents over the weekend involving theft of beer from a Mamaroneck Avenue business.

Late Sunday morning, village residents Giovany Cifuentes, 31, and Armando Fuentes, 30, were charged with petit larceny after they were accused of taking beer without paying. A store employee detained the men until police were able to arrive, according to the police report. Both men will appear in court on July 12.

Early Sunday afternoon, village resident Rodrigo Oxlaj, 32, was charged with petit larceny for taking beer without paying, according to the police report. A store employee followed the suspect to the Prospect Avenue and Library Lane area where Oxlaj was apprehended by police. He is due in court on July 12.

Drunk Driving

Anne Latorre, a 51-year-old village resident, was charged with driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of property damage after an automobile accident Friday around 10:30 p.m.

According to the report, Village of Mamaroneck police were called to Johnson Place on a complaint that a 2006 Hyundai was striking parked vehicles. Latorre is due in court July 12.

Disorderly Conduct

Police responded to a complaint at the Village Court Clerk’s Office on Friday morning after a man began causing a disturbance, according to a report. 

The man was upset because his bail was not ready to be returned to him. He was warned by police not to argue or harass members of the Clerk’s Office. The man left voluntarily.
