Mamaroneck Police Charge Local Man With DWI

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Mamaroneck police charged a 24-year-old Mamaroneck Village man with driving while intoxicated.

The report said the police responded to an accident on North Barry Avenue involving a head-on collision between a 2009 BMW and a second car at 10 a.m. Saturday. The officer charged Luis Altamiranda. No injuries were reported. Altamiranda was released on $250 bail and is due in court Thursday.

The following items also were reported by Mamaroneck police:

DWI: A vehicle was stopped on Hoyt Avenue around 1 a.m. Friday on a traffic infraction, and Alicia Letizia, 29, of Mamaroneck Town was charged with driving while intoxicated. Four patrol cars responded to the call. She is due in court July 26.

Warrant Arrest: A 20-year-old New Rochelle man was arrested Saturday night after a traffic stop on Old White Plains Road. He was wanted on previous charges of resisting arrest and unlicensed operation and a vehicle equipment infraction.
