Mamaroneck Police Respond To Robberies, Underage Drinking

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – A Mamaroneck village man reported he was attacked and robbed on Tompkins Avenue late Tuesday night, police said.

The man, 30, told police he was hit in the head by an unknown object just after 10 p.m. and three unknown men took his jacket, watch and necklace, police said. He suffered a laceration to the head, but refused medical attention at the scene. Police are investigating the incident.

The prior day, another complainant reported that his cell phone, watch, driver’s license and credit and debit cards were stolen from his locker at the New York Sports Club on 124 Palmer Ave. just after 10 p.m.

On April 27, three Mamaroneck village teens were caught with open containers of alcohol at 12:45 a.m. on East Boston Post Road, police said. All three were issued summons. One 17-year-old was also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.

Police found he had clonazepam, a prescription medication used to control certain types of seizures or relieve panic attacks, according to the National Institutes of Health.
