Mamaroneck Resident Reports Car Break-In

MAMARONECK, N.Y. - A Mamaroneck resident reported that his parked car was broken into and his laptop and wallet were stolen, police said.

The Harold Street resident told police the laptop was worth $2,500 and that he had $200 in his wallet, in addition to a credit and debit card. The victim reported the items stolen when he returned to his car after 8 a.m. Thursday, police said. The car had been parked on Harold Street overnight, police said.

On April 16, a village man, 43, was arrested and charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief in connection with damage done to two street signs and third-degree criminal mischief in connection with damage to tires on two cars parked on Palmer Court, police said. The damaged totaled $1,600, police said.

He was due back in court Thursday.
