MAMARONECK, N.Y. – A homeowner reported that a vacant house on Mohegan Road had been burglarized between Friday, Aug. 3, and Monday, Aug. 6, Mamaroneck Town police said.
The homeowner has not been staying there but has been storing boxes of items on the property, police said. The owner was not immediately able to tell whether anything had been taken. Police said the home definitely had been broken into and the incident remains under investigation.
The following items also were reported by Mamaroneck Town police:
Identity Theft: A Mamaroneck Town man reported that from June to August someone had applied for store credit cards using his information.
Fire Calls: Mamaroneck Town police responded to five fire calls, nine false-alarm calls and two disturbance calls over the past week.
