Police removed the man, who reportedly is mentally ill, from the a New Rochelle home on 7th Street Friday morning when his mother reported that his behavior became erratic after he locked himself in a room.
Police attempted to talk the man out of the home for several hours before entering the house and removing the man who was handcuffed then strapped to a stretcher.
Authorities also blocked off 7th Street near Union Avenue during the process.
