New Rochelle firefighters are en route, with helicopters circling overhead as the building continues to burn just outside the southbound lanes just west of I-95, sending dark smoke into the air.
At approximately 6 p.m., more than an hour after the two-alarm fire broke out in the storage facility, Mamaroneck, Harrison and New Rochelle firefighters were busy attempting containing the blaze from spreading to nearby buildings. Reports claim that the fire is also in danger of igniting several propane tanks that are housed in the area.
