A Snapchat message led to the arrest of a Scarsdale teenager and his cohort, who allegedly trespassed in a village home and were later busted with multiple fake IDs and drugs.

Officers were dispatched to a Brewster Road home on Dec. 27 following a report from the homeowner stating that acquaintances of his are in his residence without his permission.

Police said that the homeowner received a message from 19-year-old Alexander Gelfond, with the words “about to watch football” and a picture of the homeowner’s basement in the background. During a check of the home, officers reported that they found an unlocked side door and an interior check found a box containing 26 grams of marijuana.

According to police, an officer was stationed at the house, and Gelfond and Scarsdale resident Andrew Liskin, 20, were spotted walking across the front lawn of the home from the unlocked door later that day. The two attempted to leave the scene in a vehicle, prompting the officer to conduct a traffic stop.

During the stop, the officer asked Gelfond if he had permission to enter the home, which he answered “no.” When asked to produce his identification, he was spotted with multiple New York State and Connecticut licenses that were determined to be fraudulent. Lisken was also found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia.

Gelfond was arrested at the scene and charged with misdemeanor counts of criminal trespassing and possession of a forged instrument at Scarsdale Police Headquarters. He was arraigned and has since been released. Liskin was charged with trespassing and criminal possession of marijuana, a violation. Both are due back in Scarsdale Village Court later this year to answer the charges.
