Three-Alarm Fire Heavily Damages Westchester Home

A fully involved, three-alarm fire heavily damaged a home in Northern Westchester on Friday night.

The blaze broke out around 6 p.m. at 220 Mahopac Avenue in Somers, near the borders of Mahopac and Yorktown Heights.

No serious injuries occurred, officials said, but the rear of the house collapsed and the family was displaced.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
