Three Charged With DWI In Mamaroneck

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Village of Mamaroneck police have charged three individuals with driving while intoxicated.

Hernaldo Velasquez-Fuentes, 19, of Mamaroneck was stopped on Mamaroneck Avenue after committing a traffic infraction around 3 a.m. on Aug. 5. According to police, he was subsequently taken into custody and charged with driving while intoxicated at 3:20 a.m.

Another traffic stop about a half an hour later yielded similar results. Around 3:40 a.m. 21-year-old Aurelio Colon of Mamaroneck was stopped by police on Interstate 95 in Mamaroneck. At 4 a.m. he was charged with driving while intoxicated.

White Plains resident, 22-year-old Peter Pozo, was stopped on Mamaroneck Avenue around 2:40 a.m. on Aug. 6 by village police and was charged with driving while intoxicated.

Also in this week’s blotter:

  • Brandon Babel, 19, of Purchase was stopped for a traffic infraction on Hoyt Avenue Aug. 6 and was charged with driving a vehicle with a suspended license, according to police.
  • A second suspended license charge was given to Joseph Nicolella, 24, of the Bronx on Aug. 7, after he was pulled over on Mamaroneck Avenue around 12:30 a.m., according to police reports.
  • Pleasantville resident, Mario Arboite, 51, was charged with driving with a suspended registration on Aug. 6 after being stopped by village police on Mamaroneck Avenue around 2 p.m., according to police reports.
  • Ashley Lurie, 24, of Larchmont turned herself into Village of Mamaroneck Police on Aug. 3 around 4:15 p.m. A police investigation led to charges of second- degree harassment and assault brought against Lurie, according to police.
