The custodian, Jesus Martinez, told police that when he arrived for work around 6:30 a.m, he began his daily routine of unlocking the school when he noticed the broken basement window, police said.

Martinez, along with Monsignor John Ferry, examined the inside of the church and found nothing missing. Police responded to the church and determined no entry was made into the church, police said.

The window is valued at $1,000.
