Police said that at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Aug. 17, a patron at Starbucks in Bronxville was alerted by witnesses that his Mercedes was being intentionally damaged by a woman dragging a key against the rear tailgate.

Using the village’s surveillance cameras, police were able to read the license plate of the perpetrator, who was identified the following day as 65-year-old Yonkers resident Luba Slojka, who was subsequently arrested by detectives and charged with a misdemeanor count of fourth-degree criminal mischief.

No motive for the keying was released. Slojka was processed and released on her own recognizance. She is due back in Bronxville Village Court later this year to answer the charge.
