Yonkers Native, Rapper DMX Charged In Gas Station Robbery

YONKERS, N.Y. -- Yonkers native and hip hop star DMX is facing another round of legal troubles after allegedly robbing a man at a New Jersey gas station, according to News 12 Westchester.

DMX, who's legal name is Earl Simmons, was allegedly approached by a 21-year-old man at the Newark gas stationwhen a member of Simmons' entourage held a gun to his head. Simmons allegedly took more than $3,000 from the man before fleeing the scene, News 12 Westchester reported. 

Simmons has not yet been arrested, but has a previous record that includes drug and animal cruelty charges as well as a stint in Arizona prison in 2010, News 12 Westchester said.
