Early Turnout Is Average At Mamaroneck Polls

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Amy Hodman voted for Mitt Romney for president with the help of her son Sam Tuesday afternoon at Mamaroneck Avenue School, which reported nearly half of registered voters in the two districts it housed had cast ballots as of 4 p.m.

Hodman voted for Barack Obama in 2008, but said she changed her mind because her taxes are too high. Sam, 11, agreed with his mother on the issue of taxes. In 2008, when Sam was in second grade, he applied the same principle of low taxes to his school election, in which he voted for John McCain.

Tuesday, Hodman said her husband also voted for Romney.

As of 4 p.m., 241 of the 608 registered voters in District 1 and 276 of the 365 registered voters in District 24 had voted.
