MAMARONECK, N.Y. - The parking resolution that was recently adopted on Concord Avenue has been amended to a looser restriction.
The Mamaroneck Village Board of Trustees rescinded the regulation that prohibited parking at all times on Concord Avenue on the east side between Fayette Avenue and Center Avenue. They changed the designated no-parking area to "Concord Avenue East from the intersection of Fayette Avenue to a point 20 feet south thereof."
Village Manager Richard Slingerland said initially the board had thought that the Traffic Commission wanted the removal of all parking spots in front of the building on Concord Avenue, but, upon revisiting the location, it was only necessary to eliminate one to create more space for trucks and fire vehicles.
