Mamaroneck Trustee Candidate Santoro Is Lifelong Village Resident

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – The Mamaroneck/ Larchmont Daily Voice will publish profiles on the candidates running for mayor and trustees in the Nov. 5 election.

Louis Santoro, who is running for re-election as village trustee, currently is the deputy mayor. The lifelong village resident worked for the Westchester Joint Water Works as a water treatment plant operator for 21 years. He retired in 2007, but remains an active member of the Town of Mamaroneck Fire Department, which he joined in 1977. He served as chief from 1992-94. He has been a Little League Baseball and soccer coach for about a decade.

Why do you want to help lead Mamaroneck? Being a lifelong resident of the village, four years ago I was not happy with the direction the village was going so I decided to run for trustee and try to make a difference. I can proudly say I am more comfortable in the way the village is today
