MAMARONECK, N.Y. – A heated Democratic primary for three Village of Mamaroneck trustee seats ended decisively Tuesday night.

The three party-backed candidates all bested their opponent by more than two-to-one, according to unofficial election results. The voting machine for District 4 was broken and its results have not been counted.

Incumbents Leon Potok and Ilissa Miller ran with political newcomer David Finch. The incumbents’ 2012 running mate Andres Bermudez-Hallstrom did not receive his party’s nomination this year. But, he forced a primary.

According to results Bermudez-Hallstrom’s camp tallied Tuesday night, he received 182 votes compared to 505 for Fynch, 520 for Miller and 473 for Leon Potok. He sent the three victors a text congratulating them before 10 p.m.

“Congratulations to Ilissa David and Leon,” he told Daily Voice. “They’re going to have a tough fight ahead of them. The Republicans are going to be tough to beat. I wish them luck and we’ll see how things pan out.”

The Westchester County Board of Elections shows, with 100 percent of votes tallied, Miller received 31 percent, Finch received 29 percent, Potok received 28 percent and Bermudez-Hallstrom received 13 percent.

“We’re thrilled to be vindicated by the voters for what we’ve done for the last year and a half and we look forward to another two years plus and a hard fought fight in the next two months,” Potok said.

“It was a tough, tough battle for me personally and it feels really nice to be supported this way. It really does,” Miller said.

“I was thrilled and honored to be chosen by the Democratic party of the Village of Mamamroneck and I’m thrilled and honored for that choice to be supported by the voters of the Village of Mamamroenck,” Finch said.

Potok, Miller and Finch now set their sights on the Republican ticket in the general election in November: Maggie-Leigh O’Neill, Michael Ianniello and registered Democract Stefanie Lividini.
