The organization’s 2016 event was titled Along the Avenue House Tour 2016: Celebrating 125 Years of Larchmont History.

Approximately 450 tickets were sold for the afternoon event that raised funds for the Larchmont Historical Society. This year’s tour included five historic homes located in beautiful Larchmont Manor. Docents provided highlights and details of the homes and their notable residents. The event concluded with a post-tour reception at the historic Larchmont Yacht Club.

“We greatly appreciate everyone in the community who helped make this event a success, especially those who opened their homes to us. Celebrating the beauty and grandeur of these homes along The Avenue was a wonderful way to mark Larchmont’s 125th anniversary,” said Horowitz.

The Larchmont Historical Society is an organization that seeks to retain awareness of and bring together people interested in the Village of Larchmont’s unique history and foster appreciation of the significance of local heritage.

“The Historical Society plays an important role in the community by raising awareness and honoring the Village’s founders and historic dwellings. By sharing the beauty of these treasured homes, we can help ensure they will remain standing for years to come,” said Boucher.
