Kids Participate In Mamaroneck School Foundation's Triathlon

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Two hundred and seventy four children ages 7-13 swam, biked and ran their way through the Mamaroneck Schools Foundation Triathlon on Sunday, Sept. 21.

More than 150 volunteers participated as well, and his event possible.

Since 1996, the Mamaroneck Schools Foundation has been working to enhance the educational experience of students at all six schools in the Mamaroneck Union-Free School District.

The foundation has awarded more than 380 grants -- totaling more than $3.3 million -- for innovative, teacher-initiated projects that fall beyond the scope of the district budget. Proceeds from this fundraiser will support the foundation's mission.
