“We created this annual show in 2011 to highlight the growth of Mamaroneck students, showing how they deal with large, recurring themes in art in different ways at various stages in their development,” MHS Art Department Chair Kevin Klein said in a statement.
“Hopefully, the older student participants will look at the younger artists’ work and think about what they did at that age and how it compares to where they are now. And perhaps the middle school and elementary school students will enjoy being in a show at the high school and will get excited about what the future will bring when they arrive here.”
The show – which takes place in Palmer Gallery at Mamaroneck High School and highlights the growth of student work as students progress through the grades -- will remain open during school hours until May 8 at 3 p.m.
