Mamaroneck High Principal Elizabeth Clain gave a report on the results of last spring’s survey at the Board of Education meeting Tuesday, Dec. 2.

Of 1,467 students enrolled at the time of the survey, 1,264 replied to the survey questions, according to the report.

Of those students, 93 percent said they feel good about being at the high school, 92 percent feel safe on campus and 91 percent feel supported by their teachers.

“An ongoing goal is to continue to increase the amount of active learning, discussion and debate taking place across all subject areas and to help students understand why what they learn in the classroom will be important to them after high school,” Clain said in a press release.

“Any time we get feedback from students it’s helpful, and we can use this feedback in helping to guide our future priorities.”
