Twelfth Night Won't Go On Tonight; Snow Turns Play Into Saturday Matinee

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Despite Friday's predicted snowfall and early dismissal, the Mamaroneck Shakespeare show must go on.

Due to anticipated inclement weather, Friday evening’s Shakespeare Festival performance of Twelfth Night has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 21 at noon, according to Mamaroneck High School officials.

ORIGINAL STORY:

Beware the ides of March. 

Whether or not you recall the origin of that famous phrase, it's time to head over to Hommocks Middle School where Mamaroneck High's Shakespeare Festival opened on Tuesday March 17.

The Mamaroneck Shakespeare Players, directed by PACE teacher Zachary Moore, are presenting six performances. This year’s productions are: Julius Caesar and Twelfth Night. 

Performances will take place at the Hommocks Auditorium beginning Tuesday and continuing through Sunday March 2.

Their remaining performance schedule is:

7:30 p.m. Friday: Twelfth Night (rescheduled for Saturday matinee at noon.) 7:30 p.m. Saturday: Julius Caesar 2 p.m. Sunday: Twelfth Night

Reserved tickets are only available online. Click here if you would like to select your seats and print out at home.

Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for students. There is a 50-cent service fee per ticket.

General admission tickets are available for purchase at the door a half hour before curtain time.
