Mamaroneck HS Among State's Most Challenging In New Rankings

A total of 12 high schools from Westchester County were ranked among the Top 50 schools in New York State in the Washington Post's list of America’s most challenging.

Harrison, which was named the most challenging in Westchester County, came in at No. 13 in the state and No. 203 nationwide on the national newspaper's list. You can read the review of Harrison here.

Pleasantville, No. 41.

Each score was based on "the number of college-level tests given at a school in the previous calendar year divided by the number of graduates that year," according to The Washington Post report. "A ratio of 1.000 means the school had as many tests as graduates."

A total of 2,302 high schools throughout the United States made the cut.
