Bari Suman Makes Mark During 12-Year Tenure As Mamaroneck Athletic Director

MAMARONECK, N.Y. - Daily Voice chatted recently with Mamaroneck's Bari Suman as a part of our continuing spotlight series on area Athletic Directors. DV caught up with Suman at Brewster Ice Arena, where the Tigers defeated Suffern to win the Section 1 Division 1 ice hockey championship.

Mamaroneck's Bari Suman has been Director of Athletics at Mamaroneck for the last 12 years. 

A graduate of Suffern High, Suman played soccer, basketball and ran track in high school before attending SUNY Cortland, where she continued to play soccer.

On Sunday, Suman's Mamaroneck varsity hockey team defeated her alma mater, Suffern, in the Section 1 Division 1 final. For more on that, click here.

Suman spent nine years as a teacher in the Syracuse City School District, and was athletic director there for two years, before finding herself at Mamaroneck.
