Mamaroneck Baseball Wins Seventh Straight Game

SCARSDALE, N.Y. — Parker Thelander allowed one run on three hits in five innings, and the Mamaroneck offense did the rest. The Tigers pounded out 14 hits in a 10-2 victory over host Scarsdale in a Section 1 Class AA baseball game on Friday.

It was Mamaroneck's seventh consecutive win as the Tigers improved to 9-2 and swept Scarsdale in the two-game league set. Mamaroneck will host Massapequa on Saturday at 3 p.m.

Alex Sposito collected three hits, including a double, and drove in three runs. Matt Marino also had three hits and an RBI. Brett Poniros doubled among his two hits and had two RBIs.
