Shari Rauls, Leonie Rauls, Katie DeVore and Lauren Chapey ran a time of 9:07.91 to snap the existing record of 9:11.46 set last year with Anima Banks, a state champion runner now at Duke University, leading the team.

The record-breaking relay team includes three freshmen - Shari Rauls, DeVore and Chapey -- and junior Leonie Rauls.

Banks, who was competing in the Penn Relays herself as part of the Duke women's 4x800 relay team, cheered her former teammates on to the record.
