WESTCHESTER COUNTY, N.Y. -- Mamaroneck High School’s football team has lost its last two games against Scarsdale High School. On Saturday, the schools that are separated by less than six miles will meet in the first round of the Section 1 Class AA football playoffs.

The Tigers (6-1) and Raiders (6-1) kick off at 2:30 p.m. at Scarsdale.

Other Class AA quarterfinals feature Mahopac at New Rochelle on Saturday at 2 p.m. and Horace Greeley at John Jay-East Fishkill at 6:30 p.m. The winners advance to the semifinals next weekend. The Class AA championship game is scheduled for Nov. 8 at Mahopac.

Mamaroneck won four straight games against Scarsdale from 2005-2008, but the Raiders have won the last two meetings, including a 21-19 victory in 2011.

The Tigers are coming off a 34-7 win over Suffern in a game in which senior running back Marquez Jackson-Allen rushed for a career-high 307 yards and two touchdowns. Jackson-Allen has rushed for 1,325 yards this fall and 14 touchdowns. He is averaging 10.7 yards per rush, and has topped 100 yards in six of Mamaroneck’s seven games. He is the fifth leading rusher in New York, according to statistics by MaxPreps.

The Tigers’ only loss was a 28-20 loss to Arlington, which plays North Rockland in another Class AA playoff game on Friday night.

Scarsdale’s only loss is to New Rochelle, a 27-0 setback on Oct. 11. The Raiders escaped with a 38-36 win last week over Rye, which earned a No. 1 seed in the Class A playoffs.

This weekend’s Class A playoff lineup finds Panas at Somers; Beacon at Rye and Nyack at Yorktown, all at 7 p.m. on Friday. John Jay visits Sleepy Hollow on Saturday at 1:30 p.m.

Class B semifinals on Saturday feature Pleasantville at Nanuet at 1:30 p.m. and Our Lady of Lourdes at Ardsley at 1 p.m.

Saturday’s Class C semifinals are Dobbs Ferry at Rye Neck at 1 p.m. and Woodlands at Bronxville at 1:30 p.m.
