Mamaroneck Welcomes Back Lacrosse Stars

Once a Tiger, always a Tiger.

Former Mamaroneck High School lacrosse players will be welcomed home Saturday to the school’s brand new Memorial Field for a reunion game at 7 p.m. Organizer Jeff Barnard said the event will draw a crowd of fans and former players.

“We will likely have many alumni attend as both fans and players,” Barnard said. “The event is a fundraiser to benefit the Mamaroneck High School Boys’ Lacrosse Program. It is our first year holding the event on Memorial Field.”

Memorial Field was under construction last year and the 2010 reunion game was cancelled.

“Our last alumni game took place in 2009 on Alma Field at Flint Park,” Barnard said. “This should be a great night.”

Barnard said the event will welcome familiar Mamaroneck Lacrosse players including Ben Trachtenberg, Matt Mulcahy, Myles Monaghan, Mark Gryzlo, Rory Fugazy, Bobby Bizzard, Mike Costello, Chris DeJesus, Michael Hesslin, Eric Sundin, Sean O’Connor, Andy Wilson, Tim O'Connor, Ryan Ferguson, Shane Ferguson, Danny Issac, Robert Rainaldi, Dwayne Doherty, George Ventamiglia and Marc Lanni among others.
