Mamaroneck's Girls Relay Team Smashes School Record

NEW YORK -- In an exciting 4x800-meter relay in which the lead changed hands multiple times, the Mamaroneck girls squad shattered the school’s record by 6 seconds, according to lohud.com.

The Mamaroneck High School girls team recently broke the school’s record in the 4x800-meter relay.

The team, composed of Shari Rauls, Lauren Shpiz, Lauren Chapey and Katie DeVore, proved victorious in the Armory Track Invitational race Saturday with a time of 9 minutes, 1.81 seconds, according to lohud.com.

Local teams from Bronxville, John Jay and Ursuline high schools also competed in the race, finishing fourth, eighth and 11th, respectively, according to lohud.com.
