MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Mamaroneck soccer player Gustavo Trinidad, who plays for Sage College of Albany men's soccer team, recently received two awards for his play.
Trinidad was named the Skyline Conference Men’s Soccer Player of the Week and the Eastern College Athletic Conference Division III Metro Offensive Player of the Week, according to a press release. Trinidad led the Gators in scoring last week with eight points on three goals and two assists as the team went 1-0-1 and remained unbeaten in Skyline Conference play, according to the release.
"He tied a Sage single-game mark with his seven points in the team’s 6-0 win over Maritime College on October 12 after pouring in three goals and an assist," representatives said in the release. "Earlier in the week, he added an assist in the team’s 1-1 double overtime tie with Mt. St. Mary College. He leads the Gators with his 23 points on eight goals and seven assists, ranks third in the conference with his 1.92 ppg average, while standing third as well in points (23). He stands No. 2 on the Gator career list with his 59 points, while owning the career assist record with 21."
