Mamaroneck's Williams Throws Two-Hitter in Win

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Mike Williams threw a complete-game two-hitter and struck out 10 as Mamaroneck beat visiting Centennial (Md.), 8-2, in a high school baseball game Saturday.

The senior left-hander allowed one earned run, improving to 2-1. The Tigers, who will play Hastings on Monday, are 3-2 this season.

Mike Presley had two hits, including a double, to lead the Tigers, who received RBI from Brett Poniros, Gabe Makarem and Gerry McMullin.

Mamaroneck coach Mike Chiapparelli said his team capitalized on three wild pitches, a balk and an error.
