The annual challenge to pick the game-by-game winners and an eventual national champion will be played out over two weeks in college dorms, local taverns, job sites and office pools where bragging rights for the overall winner can be as coveted as the prize money.
Locally, Iona College earned a spot in the 68-team field by winning the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Tournament on Monday and is awaiting its opening-round opponent.
The NCAA Tournament Committee will announce the field Sunday evening. The tournament begins with Tuesday's out bracket games and ends with a champion on April 9.
