MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Tertius Raubenheimer defeated Ricky Weisskopf to win the Pro Squash Tour’s Buffalo Wild Wings Open on Sunday at the Westchester Squash Club in Mamaroneck.

The game scores were 11-9, 11-7, 11-4. The win gave Raubenheimer, a teaching pro at the Westchester Squash Club, his first PST tournament victory.

Raubenheimer moved from South Africa to the United States in 2008. He lives in Pelham and coaches the Bronxville School squash teams. Weisskopf is a four-time national champion of El Salvador who has coached in Greenwich, Conn.

Earlier in the day, Ned Marks of New York City narrowly edged Rob Wilkins of Wales in the third place match. Game scores were 7-11, 11-7, 11-7, 7-11, 11-9. Both players moved well during the nearly hourlong match. Marks, originally from Greenwich, was one of PST’s top eight players in the 2011-12 season. Wilkins, a former member of the Wales National Team, currently coaches in Stamford, Conn.

"Both matches were well played today," said PST Commissioner and CEO Joe McManus. "I liked the energy on court, and the level of sportsmanship. It's a great beginning to our season."

The pro tournament was held in conjunction with an amateur tournament sanctioned by US Squash.
