Shari Rauls Named Mamaroneck/Daily Voice Standout Student-Athlete

Mamaroneck High School senior track standout Shari Rauls has been selected as Mamaroneck High School/ Daily Voice Standout Student-Athlete this week.

Rauls will attend continue to participate in the sport at Brown University.

Brief overview of accomplishments/achievements: 

Star runner, soccer player, musician, artist, and student, Shari Rauls has displayed in her high school career an extraordinary diversity of excellence: All league in soccer; All league, All County, All State and All American in Track Field since her freshman year; School record in the 300m; Perfect scores for the cello and piano at the School of Music Association Festival; National Honor Society in Academics; Recruited by Harvard, Yale, Princeton and Brown. Shari has achieved the kind of success that most student/athletes only dream about. She is a gifted athlete and scholar, but her grit and determination are second to none. We will miss her terribly, but we will be rooting for her at Brown University next year.

What do you like to do in your spare time?

Play piano, play cello, tutor, play soccer, puzzling

Anthony's

Favorite subject in school?

Physics

What are some reasons for your success?

I always strive to do my best in anything I do. The support I get from my family and my team and my coaches so important to me.

Biggest influences on your varsity career?

My father who also ran and who helps me get motivated to train on vacations.

Person you would most like to meet?

John Lennon

What do you see yourself doing in 10 years?

Just being happy with whatever and wherever I find myself.
