Ciraco, a senior, is captain of the Tigers' varsity football team.

Overview of accomplishments/achievements:

According to Coach Vitti, Eddie Ciraco is a special young man. Over the past three years, he has had the privilege of coaching him on the gridiron where he has witnessed him grow up to become an excellent leader in the Tigers' football program. As a junior, Eddie earned the rare honor of being selected as a team captain for his dedication to the program, prowess in the classroom and for his love of the community.

Eddie is a leader along the offensive and defensive lines. Over the past three seasons, he has helped the teams and some outstanding individual players to a great deal of success, without ever seeking praise. To top it off, Eddie is self-motivated and reflective. He comes to work each day with a lunch-pail demeanor, holding himself and his teammates to high expectations. His steady nature has left an indelible mark on the football program that will last for years to come.

Q&A with Eddie:

What do you like to do in your spare time?

I like to hang out with friends and family in my free time and playing other sports. High school leaves little time free time, so when I do have free time, I like to spend it around friends and family.

Favorite restaurant in town?

I’m a big fan of Hibachi and Asian Cuisine, so I’d have to say Red Plum.

Favorite subject in school?

Macro Economics. It’s just interesting to learn how decisions are made given a set amount of resources and a set of goals.

What are some reasons for your success?

I guess the biggest reason for my “success” is my consistency and devotion. I just feel that if you give a consistent effort and remain devoted, you will meet your goals.

Biggest influences on your varsity career?

I’d have to say the football alumni. I always have found it inspiring to hear about what past teams and alumni have accomplished, and I guess it helped me set a goal for myself as to what I wanted to accomplish.

Person you would most like to meet?

I’d have to say Tom Brady. I don’t necessarily root for him, and I’m not a huge fan of him, but I do respect him. He is the ultimate underdog, and has one of the greatest football minds ever.

What do you see yourself doing in 10 years?

I can see myself starting out my career in the field I choose to study in college.
