CT Inspector General Investigating Hartford Woman's Death While In Police Custody The Connecticut Office of Inspector General is investigating the death of a 49-year-old woman who was in police custody. Linda Praylow, of Hartford, died in a holding cell on Sunday, April 7, while in the custody of the Hartford Police. Hudson Valley Fire Leaves 24 Homeless, Injures 2 At least two residential buildings were destroyed during a two-alarm fire in the Hudson Valley that left 24 people homeless. The incident occurred in Orange County at 11:20 p.m. on Monday, April 8, at 59 and 61 Carter St., in the city of Newburgh.
