Larchmont, Mamaroneck Will See Rainy Start To Workweek

It's the beginning of the workweek and it could get messy, according to the National Weather Service.

Though high temperatures in the region are expected to hover in the low 70s Monday, there is an increasing chance of rain from 11 a.m. through the rest of the day, according to the Weather Service.

The chance of rain stands at just 30 percent early in the day, but clouds will roll in during the late afternoon as temperatures begin to drop, according to the Weather Service.

By late Monday night into Tuesday morning, the chance of rain increases to 60 percent with up to .25 inches of rain possible. Strong thunderstorms could move in to the area after 4 p.m. Tuesday.

The overcast and stormy weather is expected to linger into early Tuesday evening, when the skies will begin to clear, according to the Weather Service.

By Thursday, temperatures are likely to approach the low 80s with mostly sunny skies. The sunshine is expected to remain through the holiday weekend, according to the Weather Service.
