Snow Blower Stolen From Mamaroneck Man's Garage

MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- One village man is hoping for no snow this winter, after his snow blower was stolen from his James Street garage.

The man told police Monday that his snow blower, worth approximately $600, was taken from his garage sometime between Sunday at 10 a.m. and Monday at 10:20 a.m. The following incidents were also reported in the Village of Mamaroneck Police blotter between Dec. 30 and Jan. 3. Accident Pedestrian: An elderly village man, 75, was hit by a 1998 Nissan while crossing Mamaroneck Avenue along Boston Post Road. He suffered minor scrapes and bruises, but refused medical attention at the scene. Drunk Driver: A Bellevue, WA man, 27, was stopped for committing a traffic infraction on Mamaroneck Avenue and charged with driving while intoxicated Monday, police said. V &T Arrest: A Mohegan, NY woman, 47, was stopped for a traffic infraction on W. Boston Post Road and charged with driving while intoxicated Monday at 1:50 a.m. Larceny: A village resident reported Dec. 30 that someone entered their unlocked vehicle and took their iPod, worth approximately $300, sometime between Dec. 29 at 10:30 p.m. and Dec. 30 at 8 a.m. The car was parked on Florence Street.
