Ken Collins Named Daily Voice Chief Financial Officer

ARMONK, N.Y. - Ken Collins, a founding partner with one of the country's leading media firms, has joined Daily Voice as its Chief Financial Officer.

Collins is a founding Partner and CFO of DeSilva + Phillips, a leading media investment bank in New York City, where his focus was deal structure, valuation, financing, and operational restructuring. Previously, he was President of Macmillan Publishing, Europe, Executive Vice President and Publisher of the American Banker and Investment Dealers’ Digest, and Senior Vice President of John Wiley & Sons, where he directed all scientific, technical, legal and medical publishing programs. 

"Few people are more knowledgeable about the media landscape than Ken," Daily Voice CEO Carll Tucker said in announcing Collins' hire.

Collins began his publishing career with CBS as Group Vice President, Finance and also served as Vice President and Publisher of the Fawcett Books Group of the CBS Consumer Publishing Division.  He has served as a Director of the Association of American Publishers and as Secretary and Director of the Copyright Clearance Center.  His Security Industry registrations include:  Series 7, 79, 63 and 27 (FinOps Principal).

A native of Darien, Connecticut, Ken is a graduate of Darien High School and has a BA from Williams College and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He and his wife, Jean, have two daughters and make their home on Long Island.

Daily Voice is an online community news network, with 41 sites in Westchester (NY) and Fairfield (CT). With more than 500,000 Monthly Unique Visitors, according to Google Analytics, Daily Voice is the largest news medium in the two counties.
