MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Dr. Danny M. Cohen, author of "Train," a Holocaust novel inspired by hidden histories of victims of Nazi persecution, will read and sign his new novel Sunday at 1 p.m. at the Westchester Jewish Center, 175 Rockland Ave.
The book is set in Berlin in 1943, when six teenagers witness and try to escape the Nazi roundups. According to the author, "Train" gives voice to the many unheard victims of Nazi persecution: Roma, homosexuals, disabled, intermarried Jews and political enemies of the regime.
The event is co-sponsored by WJC and Mosaic of Westchester, a nonprofit initiative working for the full integration of LGBTQ Jews in Westchester Jewish life. The interactive format will feature Cohen in an interview by Melanie Flaxer, one of his former students, a Q&A and book signings for those who pre-purchased the novel.
Books will not be sold at the event. You can order a copy in advance at this Amazon link and bring it with you to be autographed: http://www.amazon.com/Train-Danny-M-Cohen/dp/1505560454
