CivicMoxie, the City’s consultant, has been working since September on the proposed district. Their team has held focus groups with artists, arts groups, and cultural organizations, toured the downtown and adjacent areas, tabled at the PopRocs event downtown and sent out a survey to local artists, performers and organizations.

CivicMoxie will hold a public meeting on Thursday, Nov. 19 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the City Hall Rotunda located at 515 North Avenue. They plan to present their thoughts about the district’s location, announce results from the survey and discuss elements of the district as well as possible ways to fund and run the district.

New Rochelle residents and students -- especially artists, artisans, and other creative people -- are invited to attend the meeting and share ideas, give feedback on the district during breakout sessions, view maps and diagrams, and talk about next steps toward the creation of an Arts and Cultural District in the City.

The Rotunda is wheelchair accessible, and parking is available in the City Hall parking lot.
