It will be Wednesday from 10 a.m.-noon in the Bedford Town Hall Courtroom, 321 Bedford Road, Bedford Hills. At 9:30 a.m., Danish and coffee will be available.
This workshop is open and free to all Westchester municipal employees and volunteers.
Complete Streets are safe, comfortable and convenient for travel for everyone, regardless of age or ability — motorists, pedestrians, bicyclists and public transportation riders. With simple changes to the way roads are viewed and designed, towns can make sure that everyone is safer, no matter where they're going or how they're getting there.
This intermunicipal training will provide an overview of the Complete Streets approach and will identify implementation steps and funding options that can help communities to build a healthy and sustainable transportation network.
The workshop is presented by the Tri-State Transportation Campaign, hosted by the town of Bedford and sponsored by Sustainable Westchester Inc.
It is the third of three planned Complete Streets workshops.
