Mamaroneck's Walter's Hot Dogs Ranked 15th Best In America

MAMARONECK, N.Y. – Walter’s hot dog stand ranked 15th in The Daily Meal’s recent list of America’s 35 Best Hot Dogs, the latest of dozens of accolades for the historical landmark.

The hot dog stand sits opposite Mamaroneck High School on Palmer Avenue. Built in 1928, the Chinese pagoda with a copper roof was declared a historical landmark in 1991 and listed on the Westchester County Inventory of Historic Places.

Walter Warrington’s “split” hot dog, grilled in secret sauce and served on a toasted bun with homemade mustard has drawn praise from Gourmet Magazine, The New York Times, Westchester Magazine, Roadside Delights and local governments.

Walter's is on 937 Palmer Ave.
