What Makes It Patty Perfect: The round, juicy Blazer Burger -- with cheese, lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and bacon on a hard roll – is a classic at this old-school roadside pub. Its Route 22 Burger has melted gorgonzola and the Celsus Burger, Swiss cheese and bacon.
Blazer devotees also love its tomato soup, homemade chili, and dressings such as Thousand Island and blue cheese, which they ladle onto their beef patties. The fries are sliced steakhouse style and can be ordered extra crispy. The restaurant looks very much the same way it did when it opened in the 1970’s. It still has a jukebox, scalloped paper placemats, and Yankee memorabilia on its walls.
