MAMARONECK, N.Y. -- Mamaroneck High School (MHS) graduate Hilary Zelson will have her work on display at Backstreet Gallery and Framing in New Rochelle throughout the month of April.
Zelson, who graduated from MHS in 2007, and Union College in 2011, titled her exhibit "Dripping in Glitter." Instead of paint, she uses glitter on paper to catch the eye.
The exhibit also features watercolor paintings, one of which, "Colorful Tears," was recently part of the 30th annual Adirondacks National Exhibition of American Watercolors in Old Forge, N.Y.
The Museum of Fine Arts, Boston art instructor was also one of seven to be honored in the "Young Talent 2012" exhibit in January at the Washington Art Association in Washington Depot, Conn.
A reception will be held April 28 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The gallery is open to the public from noon to 6 p.m. Monday, Wednesday and Friday, as well as from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday.
The Backstage Gallery and Framing is on 43 Library Plaza .
